Kakyoin injured his eye during his fight with N'Doul in Egypt. He was temporarily recuperating at a hospital in Egypt, but he joined Jotaro and the others when they stormed into DIO's mansion, wearing his sunglasses.
The sunglasses Kakyoin wore in this moving scene have been recreated by Yamamori Megane, a world-renowned eyewear manufacturer in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture! By commissioning a long-established frame manufacturer in Sabae, a city famous for its eyewear, we were able to create the delicate yet powerful frames Kakyoin wore. The finished product is a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of the artisans.
